At Metropolitan Gaming, we are committed to preventing underage gambling, to protecting young and vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling, and to increasing support for the treatment of gambling harm.
We do this by creating a culture of Safer Gambling within our casinos.
While the vast majority of players will never experience any gambling harm, our Safer Gambling focus is not confined to those who have experienced gambling harms or are most at risk from gambling harms.
At Metropolitan Gaming, we believe that gambling should be fun for all our customers.
Safer Gambling Ambassadors are available at each of our casinos to discuss playing safely.
Our customer-facing teams receive regular training around spotting signs of gambling harms and how to provide support.
We provide information throughout the casino and online on how to play safely and where to find additional support.
We offer opportunities to exclude from our facilities and casinos nationwide.
We are working with the industry and suppliers to develop research and data-collection methods to help us identify those few customers who are at risk of gambling harm so that we can offer them help at an early stage.
We partner with support agencies and charities that provide both education and treatment.
What Should I Do If I Think I May Be Experiencing Gambling Harm?
You can talk in confidence to a Safer Gambling Ambassador at any of our casinos. They understand the issues involved and have been specially trained to provide you with information and guidance. Alternatively, email us in confidence at firstname.lastname@example.org providing your Met Card number and one of our Safer Gambling team will contact you.
Never be afraid or embarrassed to ask for help.
You can self-exclude from all of our UK casinos, or nationally from all casinos in the UK, by asking to join the casino industry’s national self-exclusion scheme, SENSE (Self-Enrolment National Self-Exclusion). For information and help on how to self-exclude, please see below.
You can also contact dedicated support groups who are available to assist you – see Additional Support section below.
We are committed to creating a culture of Safer Gambling within our casinos. We have appointed Safer Gambling Ambassadors across all our sites, in order to protect young and vulnerable people from being exploited by gambling, prevent underage gambling and increase support for the treatment of gambling harm.
